History Of UV Printing
UV Inkjet Printing has a long history dating back to the 1970’s where it was utilized by companies to print direct mail, bar coding, labeling and packaging on mostly flat surfaces.
UV Digital Printing Evolution
Flatbed digital printers utilize usually UV curing inks that are made of acrylic monomers and get exposed powerful UV-light to enable the curing process. These printers have come a long way since the 1970’s and now include Hybrid versions making it possible to print with rotary attachments, allowing printing on cylindrical surfaces. This method of printing has become very popular within the beverage bottle industry amongst others.
